TLC Studios & Matt Brown Foundation Host Abilities Celebration

Peter H. Reynolds & Matt Brown pose with some of the authors who contributed to Wishes On Wheels book.

Last Tuesday night, the Reynolds Center for Teaching, Learning, and Creativity’s TLC Studios in Dedham Square was filled with inspiration, hope, connection, and empowerment.

Matt Brown, founder of the Matt Brown Foundation based in Norwood, MA, partnered with us to celebrate the creativity and resilient spirit of those who use wheelchairs to support their independence and mobility. Matt suffered a spinal cord injury during a high school hockey game in 2010, but went on to inspire others by showing the world what true resilience looks like.

Wishes On Wheels, published by Little Dreamer Press, is a book created by Matt Brown, with editor Suzanne Galvin. The book features poems and stories from various children who use wheelchairs for mobility. This special book a share their voices with the world - and show the world that they’re ABLE to overcome anything!
