● programs
local events
we’re passionate about supporting our local communities of boston & dedham, massachusetts, and run regular free programming out of tlc studios & media lab in dedham to connect folks near and far.
● create
early risers storytime
what it is: every saturday from 8 - 9 am at our studio, music educator Kiersten Case offers a free read-aloud, often with puppets and a ukulele in hand, and always with a follow-up activity or game!
who it's for: little ones & their families
why we love it: Kiersten Case is a music educator, children’s performer, and neurodivergent adult who understands how to connect with kids. we love when “Ms. Kiersten” comes in— a frog-overall wearing, mushroom-hat donning singer who is a delight for all.
● run
north star kids’ ramble
what it is: an annual, one-of-a-kind, literacy-themed fitness event inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book the north star. the ramble combines movement, storytelling, and community, featuring age-specific races, a family fun run, and creative activities for all.
who it’s for: children ages 4–10 and their families from dedham and surrounding towns, along with anyone who loves books, creativity, and joyful community events.
why we love it: it blends fitness with imagination, celebrates every child’s unique journey, and reminds families to follow their own “north star” together—plus every young runner takes home a ribbon and a free book.
● read
indie bookfest
what it is: an annual celebration of independent authors and illustrators, featuring book signings, readings, and workshops at our studio
who it's for: indie authors, bookworms and casual readers, families, and community members
why we love it: each year, it offers a platform for emerging local voices and allows attendees to discover unique stories and engage with authors directly.
