Thousands of Kids Made the FAB Choices at the National Academies of Sciences
Families of young engineers and designers filled the National Academies of Sciences on April 13, 2019 for Family Science Day. Andrea Calvin and Paul Reynolds joined the National Academy of Engineering at the FabMaker DecisionTown station.
At the station, kids took on the role of city planner and engineered solutions for the town deciding if structures should be rebuilt or repaired. Using FabMaker Studio, thousands of masks, pinwheels, houses, bridges, and popup dolphins were created. Attendees also walked away with a personalized copy of “Going Places,” by Paul and Peter H. Reynolds.
