Just like in the book, "Rose's Garden," the paper flowers children bring to "brighten" Rose's garden. Let's consider how can we "brighten" and better our cities and communities. Make a promise and create a flower as a symbol of the ways in which you promise to help make your cities, neighborhoods, communities, and world a better and brighter place full of hope.

The paper flowers help us consider the ways we can be resilient and make change. Take your flower home to remind you of the promises you've made and how you will enact change in your community. The Greenway asks that flowers be taken home at the end of the Aug. 25 event, as they are not equipped or appropriate for paper flowers on a long-term basis.

The Rose's Garden StoryWalk partners will host a series of flower making workshops throughout the summer. Check back for more details.
