To help further connect the dots around the globe this International Dot Day, we’ve partnered with the nonprofit Empatico - an online platform that combines live video with activities designed to foster meaningful connections among students ages 6-11. This free resource empowers teachers and students to explore the world through experiences that spark curiosity, kindness, and empathy.

This year, educators in the Dot Day community can use Empatico to connect with each other and share how they will make their mark on the world through this exclusive activity. Participants will be matched with a partner with overlapping availability for a live video exchange

To register your class for the Dot Day Empatico connection click here and follow the steps detailed in the video below.

Step 1: Navigate to the Empatico homepage and click “Sign Up for Free”.

Step 2: Register for an account with your full name, personal email address, and password. For “How did you hear about us?”, please select “Other” and write in “Dot Day”.

Step 3: After verifying your email address, use your Empatico dashboard to select your match preferences.

Step 4: Set your students’ age range.

Step 5: Click on “Select All” for Activities.

Step 6: Provide your location and availability for a live video exchange during a typical school week.

Step 7: Choose the language that your students will use for the live video exchange.

Step 8: Do not click on “View Potential Matches” and log out.

Thank you for participating in this pilot partnership between Empatico and International Dot Day! We look forward to hearing your wonderful stories and incorporating your feedback on how we can streamline the experience into future versions
